This study examines the Knowledge and Attitude of Caleb University Students to Campaigns about Drug Abuse. The specific objectives includes identifying the understanding of Caleb University Students to what constitutes drug abuse, identifying the information available to Caleb University Students on drug abuse, identifying the perspective of Caleb University Students about the information on drug abuse, identifying the perspective of Caleb University Students about the
methods of delivering the information on drug abuse and to evaluate how Caleb University Students utilize the information available on drug abuse. This research made use of The Health Belief Model and Social Marketing Theory. This research made use of survey research method by administering 370 questionnaires to get responses from Students of Caleb University. Data and analysis of this research work were presented in figures, tables and percentages. This study revealed that drug abuse campaigns have been most effective through the use of social Media in
Caleb University, the students of the institution viewed the campaigns they had come across about drug abuse had influenced their behavior, the students attitude had been influenced by the various campaigns they had come across in the institution and that Caleb University Students drug abuse perception have been affected as a result of the campaigns they have come across. This study recommends that drug abuse campaigns should be done more often to keep enlightening, drug abuse campaigns shouldn’t be too technical so that students would be able to understand and there would be a better impact of the campaigns on students, there should drug abuse campaign posters across the institutions so it keeps recurring in the minds of students.
